The house that Jack Somebody-or-other built

It's (almost) official. A house has been purchased and is ready to move in next week! The underwriter called and told us that the approval has been greenlighted for a closing in 5 days. Yowza. It's one of the few adult things that I can lay claim to.

This townhome, built in the 70's, has some remarkably nice features and updated appliances. But we can't wait to rip out some carpeting and put hardwood floors in some key spots. I'm also looking forward to buying some of that insulation foam and filling up a few gaps surrounding the dryer exhaust pipe. Ah, the happy home-fixer...

Packing has been going well, and we are ahead of the game. We plan on using Two Men and a Truck to bring a load of the heavy furniture the two miles to our new place. Boxes should fit nicely in our vehicles otherwise. Serenity now!
